Wasn't really attracted to this from the off, but bought it for the kids cos they enjoyed the demo and gave me the 'puleeeeze daaad' thing. It's nifty, if a bit one trick pony. Plays a bit like N+, pixel perfect wall jumping platformer but with the added fun of a double jump based on blowing yourself up. Quite a big game, particularly compared to the developrs last game, The Maw. It has two separate longish campaigns, one for single one for multi.
Multi works really well locally, four player coop with lots of coordinated exploding to hit the same spot at the same time, and the game gives you a countdown trigger to make it easy to line the jumps up. Not tried it online, but I imagine it would work well with mates but really badly with peons who wouldn't cooperate enough.
Downer seems to be the boss fights, they're just way too hard compared to the rest of it, really jarring.
Top value for the 800 points, we've got a lot of fun out of it.
